Reiki is a gentle, hands-on healing technique that helps restore balance, reduce stress, and support emotional and physical well-being. What is Reiki? Reiki (pronounced ray-key) is a Japanese healing modality that channels life force energy through the hands. The word Reiki comes from: •Rei – Universal, Spiritual Wisdom •Ki – Life Force Energy Reiki reminds us that healing begins within and flows outward. It was rediscovered by Dr. Mikao Usui in the early 1900s and has since become a widely respected tool for holistic healing. What to Expect in Reiki 1: This Level 1 class is the foundation of your Reiki journey and focuses on personal healing, energy awareness, and hands-on practice. You’ll receive a sacred Reiki 1 attunement, which opens your energy channels and connects you to the Reiki healing energy. Even if you simply want to learn about Reiki and how it works, this class is a wonderful opportunity to explore and understand energy healing in a grounded, accessible way. During this class, we’ll cover: •A welcoming introduction to the Reiki system of healing •The history and origins of Reiki and Dr. Mikao Usui •What energy healing is and how it works •Understanding the human energy field (chakras and aura) •The Five Reiki Principles and how to apply them to daily life •The Reiki 1 attunement process and its purpose •How to perform a self-Reiki session •How to give a basic Reiki session to others •An introduction to giving Reiki to animals and how they respond to healing energy •Practical hands-on exercises and guided practice sessions •Ethics, intention setting, and how to hold space for healing Who is this class for?
